Back to School Camps: August 2026
In addition to PrimeTime, Birney families have a second option for after-school care during the first two weeks of school with one on-campus camp: Open Minds Art, Junior Design & Engineering (TK–5). This camp is outdoors, offers flexible signup by day or week, and aligns with Birney’s dismissal schedule.
Camp end times have been aligned to provide a consistent pickup schedule week-to-week throughout August and into the After School Enrichment (ASE) session starting August 24. The ASE schedule and registration is coming soon.
Camp Pickup times follow the school schedule.
⚠️ Take note: the first week of school has a special schedule
Week of August 10–14:
TK & Kinder: early release at 1:05pm all week
Grades 1–5: early release at 1:15pm Mon–Wed only
Week of August 17–21:
Regular schedule for all: dismissal at 3:10pm for TK & Kinder, 3:20pm for grades 1-5, all week except Wednesdays at 1:15pm
Coordinated by our After School Enrichment (ASE) committee, Birney offers optional on-campus camps during:
The first 2 weeks of school before ASE classes begin
During fall caregiver-teacher conference weeks, when school dismisses early at 1:15pm, typically for one week in November
During spring caregiver-teacher conferences, when school dismisses early at 1:15pm on three consecutive days in March.
